Eddie Carrol Garland, age 70 of Bakersville, NC the Buladean Community passed away March 15, 2024. He was a son of the late Dallas and Julia Benge Garland. He was a Veteran of The United States Marine Corp. and was employed with the Mitchell County Department of Sanitation as a truck driver.

He was a member of Rockdale Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, restoring old trucks, riding his motorcycle, camping, and truck driving. His CB handle was Carolina Wildman.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years Brenda Hopson Garland, and one sister Linda Leach (Jim).

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his sister Patsy Stockton, one brother Dallas Wayne Garland, and an infant sister Naomi Garland.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Honeycutt and Charles Mosley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
