Dateline: Bakersville, NC

Edd Ray Buchanan, age 91 of Spring Creek Rd. Bakersville, NC passed away January 6, 2021. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Will and Bertha Buchanan. Edd was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church and was a retired timber cutter and sawmill operator.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by two sisters Lizzie and Inez Buchanan. Survivors include several cousins.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:00PM at Roan Mtn #2 Cemetery (Sandy Branch Rd) with Rev. Mark McKinney officiating.
