Dateline: Bakersville, NC

Douglas Grindstaff, age 78, of Tanglewood Rd., Bakersville, NC passed away May 21, 2020. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Milt and Bonnie Buchanan Grindstaff. He was self employed in the construction business. He loved music, singing, and his carpentry business.

Survivors include his sister, Kathleen Byrd, of Bakersville, NC, a special friend he viewed as a son, Levi Morgan, of Brevard, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Bernice Grindstaff, and his brother, Harold Grindstaff.

A private graveside service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 3:00PM at Snow Hill Cemetery with Andy Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery.
