David Junior "The Bandit" Houston, 66, of Hamburg Rd passed away August 20, 2021. A native of Avery County, NC he was a son of the late Marson and Essie Houston. He was retired as a truck driver for Houston Transportation. He loved his dogs, working on cars, and watching Gunsmoke.

Survivors include: his children; David W. Houston Jr. (Cassandra), Mat R. Houston (Sadie), Brookln and Joey, Trevor W. Houston (Rebecca), Cody, Cameron, and Mya, brothers; Robert V. Houston (Deb), Allen Houston (Brenda), and Randy Houston, sisters; Deb Reece and Wilma Furr, several nieces and nephews, and his dogs; Josie and Pedro.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife Kay Houston, his sisters; Sandra Setzer, Patricia Houston, and Anne Lovelace.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 6:00PM in Powdermill Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Burnop officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Houston Family Cemetery (Powdermill Rd).
