Dallas Wayne Garland, age 54, of N. 226 Hwy, Bakersville, NC, passed away December 22, 2018. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Dallas and Julie Benge Garland. He was self employed as a mechanic, and also worked for Mitchell County, NC as a sanitation engineer.

Survivors include: his wife; Anita R. Garland, of the home, NC, one son; Alexander Wayne Garland, of Johnson City, TN, one brother; Eddie Garland, of Bakersville, NC, one sister; Linda Leach, of Bakersville, NC, three stepsons; Eric and Derrick Nunn, of Spruce Pine, NC, and Nicholas Bradshaw, of Bakersville, NC, one step daughter; Amber Bradshaw, two step grandsons; Shane Nunn, and Oakley Bradshaw, one step granddaughter; Mickia Roberts.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Patsy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Dustin Sturgill and John Stockton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery.
