Daisy Mae Putman Hicks, age 93 of Gray , TN , passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 in the Christian Care of Johnson City. A native of Mitchell Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Russ and Dovie Greene Putman and the wife of the late Claude Hicks who died in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Pearl and Ethel; brothers: Russell, Halder, Aught and Earl. Daisy was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Barnette and husband Don of Gray, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, December 28, 2014 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville , NC with Mike Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ben Mosley Cemetery . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
