Cynthia Lynne Woody of the McKinney Cove Community passed away September 5, 2022. She was born in Mitchell County on December 12, 1960, to Delaney Woody and Helen Garland Woody.

Cindy graduated from Mitchell High School and became a young entrepreneur and a owner of Woody Lumber Company. Cindy had a love for horses and the outdoors.

She is survived by her two sons Charles Dustin Duncan and Thomas Delaney Duncan

and her grandchildren Trenton Devan Duncan, Braylee Grace Duncan, Katie Marie Duncan, Landon Blake Duncan, and Ashtyn Ayla Duncan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Tracy Woody, 105 Patton Place, Chapel Hill, NC 27517

A private graveside service will be held at Cane Creek Cemetery at 2pm on September 7, 2022.
