Cora Cain McKinney, age 79 of Gouge Cove Rd , Bakersville , NC passed away December 12, 2014 . She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Chesley and Martha Yelton Cain. She was a homemaker and attended Cloudland Baptist Church .

Survivors include; two daughters; Carol Ann McKinney, of Bakersville, NC, June Cooper, of Charlotte, NC, two sons; Donald McKinney, of Bakersville, NC, and J. L. McKinney, of Florida, a sister; Blanche Bagley, of Hampton, TN, four grandchildren; Chris McKinney, Brandon McKinney, James McKinney, and Felicia Wyatt, one great grandchild; Andrew Wyatt, and a special pet "Pee Wee".

She was preceded in death by; her husband; Carroll McKinney, sisters; Anna Lee Wilson, Maude Weeks, Ruth Cain, and Elvorie Greene, and brothers; Claude, Willard, and J. C. Cain.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 15, 2014 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in Henline - Hughes Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 1:00PM at Edwards Cemetery , with Doug Honeycutt and Mike Peterson officiating.

Memorials may be made to the McKinney Family for the upkeep of her special pet "Pee Wee".
