Connie Pauline Duncan, age 67, of Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord, September 29, 2019. Born in McDowell County, NC she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Zula Callahan New. Connie was retired from Hampshire Hosiery. She truly enjoyed gardening and crochet, and loved her animals.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband; Phillip Duncan, and one sister; Nancy Buchanan.

Survivors include: one daughter; Denise Mace, of Bakersville, NC, one sister; Brenda Robinson, of Bakersville, NC, one brother; Johnny Douglas New, of Hickory, NC, two grandchildren; JR, (Ina) and Joshua Grindstaff, (Vanessa), four great grandchildren; Anthony and Rhiannon Brewer, Jax and Isabella Grindstaff, and three nephews; Jeff Robinson, Marvin Buchanan, and Joey New.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 2:00PM at Bear Creek Cemetery with Reverend T.J. Robinson officiating. Interment will follow the service.
