Dateline: Green Mountain, NC

Clifford Barnett, age 87, of Flat Branch Rd., Green Mountain, NC, passed away June 26, 2019. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Woodard and Martha Willis Barnett. Clifford attended Pigeon Roost Church of The Brethren and was retired from Henredon Furniture and also a mechanic for various car dealerships. He loved his grandchildren, and also loved his dog (Waldo).

Survivors include; his daughter: Susan B. Peterson, (Robert), of Green Mountain, NC, a sister: Helen Sturgill, of Green Mountain, NC, two grandchildren: Ronan Peterson, and Shannon Peterson, great grandchildren: Nolan, Milo, Iris, and Beatrice.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by; his wife: Dorothy Barnett, sisters: Idella Miller, Lola Barnett, Pearl Bennett, and Marie Barnett, and brothers: Floyd and Carl Barnett.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Jerry Barnett and Marvin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 2:00PM at Flat Branch Cemetery.
