Dateline: Bakersville, NC

Christine Duvall Honeycutt, age 88, of White Oak Rd., Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord, September 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Willard and Mary Hassie Hoilman Duvall.

Christine was a woman of faith and loved serving her Lord. She loved attending Grace Baptist Church and loved all her church family. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed family gatherings and meals.

Survivors include: three children; Helen Brooks (Joey), Margaret Ward (Charles), and Bruce Honeycutt (Sarah), all of Bakersville, NC, brothers and sisters in law; Howard Honeycutt (Goldie), Frank Honeycutt (Sue), and Martha Garland (Jack), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband of 70 years Roy Honeycutt and several brothers and sisters.

Private services will be held.

The family would like to say a special thank you for the care and love shown by her granddaughter Melanie McMahan, also a special thanks to The Mitchell House and  Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge.
