Carolyn Ann Carpenter, 56 of Spruce Pine, NC went home to be with the Jesus on Wednesday March 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was under the care of Hospice of Mitchell County and Brian Center Spruce Pine and the family wishes to express appreciation for their care and support.

Born July 17, 1965. She was the daughter of the late Walter Carpenter and Shirley Lyons. She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Carpenter, uncles Virgil and Scott Carpenter.

Survivors include her son Jody Stevens and daughter in law Samantha Stevens, of Spruce Pine, her son Jamie Stevens and daughter in law Pricilla Stevens and grandson Jamison Stevens, of Bakersville, NC, Also surviving include her sister Paula Norman and brother in law Phillip Norman, of Spruce Pine, brothers Terry Lyons, of Creedmore, and Bill Lyons, of Spruce Pine, niece Candy Lyons, of Creedmore, and her lifelong friend Joe Stevens and her aunt Jean Lyons, of Marion, and several cousins.

A private family service will be held.
