Carol Heagey Wilson, age 76 of Abbottstown, PA formerly of Bakersville, NC, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep December 28, 2022.

A native of Mitchell County, NC she was the daughter of the late John and Nettie Jane King Greene. She was previously employed as a Seamstress in Bakersville, NC. Carol was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, along with traveling with her late husband in their motor home. She truly enjoyed living in the mountains and time spent with her friends.

Survivors include; one daughter Leah Heagey Orndorff, of Gettysburg, PA, one sister Edie Feehely, of Maryland, two grandchildren; Olivia Orndorff and Kirsten Orndorff, both of PA.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husbands; David F. Heagey, and George A. Wilson, and a granddaughter Amber Orndorff, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
