Carl Buchanan, age 86 of Spring Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord November 20, 2020. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Virgil and Maggie Buchanan. He was retired from Unimin Corporation,

Carl was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church and loved to play bluegrass/gospel music. He made and could play mandolin, guitar, and fiddle.

Survivors include a special cousin Ed Buchanan of Bakersville, NC and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers; Brown, Coleman, Earl, Buster and Arnold Buchanan, and four sisters; Hazel Wyatt, Mabel Stamey, Belle Jones, and Rachel Buchanan.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2:00PM at Roan Mountain #2 Buchanan Cemetery on Sandy Branch Rd, with Rev. Mark McKinney officiating.
