Brenda Kate Robinson, age 82, of Bakersville, NC, the Bandana Community, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Zula Callahan Grindstaff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Henry New;  her husband, Jack Robinson; her sisters, Connie Duncan and Nancy Buchanan.

Brenda was a member of Silver Chapel Baptist Church. She loved helping others and was always doing things for her neighbors and her family. She was also a retired CNA.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Robinson and wife Carol; brother, Doug New of Hickory; grandchildren: JR Grindstaff and wife Na, and Brandy Boone; great grandchildren, Jax and Bella Grindstaff, Quila Ledford and Ramson Ledford and one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bandit whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2024 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Mark McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Silver Chapel Church Cemetery.
