Brandon Carroll Peterson, age 31, of Parkview Drive, Burnsville , NC went home to be with the Lord April 7, 2017 .

He was a native of Mitchell County . Brandon was a member and deacon of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church . He was a graduate of Mitchell High School class of 2004, and joined The North Carolina Highway Patrol in 2008. He also was active with The United States Army Reserve from 2005 until 2013. Brandon was also a member of The Gideon's International.

Survivors include: his wife Isabella Stout Peterson, of the home, one daughter; LeeAnna Hope Peterson, of the home, mother; Becky Conley Peterson, of Bakersville, NC, sister; Beth Rhinecker, of Bakersville, NC, twin brother; Blake Peterson and wife Mallory, of Green Mountain, NC, maternal grandmother; Barbara Kate Conley, of Bakersville, NC,  paternal grandparents; Ephlee and Adene Peterson, of Green Mountain, NC and nephew; Dalton Rhinecker, of Bakersville, NC.

He was preceded in death by: his father; Kenny Brian Peterson, and his maternal grandfather; Robert Lee Conley.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2017 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church , 12021 S US Hw y19E, Spruce Pine , NC 28777 .

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 4:00PM at Mitchell High School , 416 Ledger School Rd , Bakersville , NC 28705 , with Dr. Darrin Waldroup and Colonel Glenn McNeill officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery .
