Boyd Hoilman, age 58 of Cub Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was a loving husband to his wife Velma Hoilman, the love of his life. They were each others "fishing buddy's". Theirs was a life full of love that is rarely found here on Earth. He was a good Christian man that loved his family dearly and raised all of his children in the ways of the Lord. He worked as a Security Guard at Unimin Quartz Schoolhouse plant in Spruce Pine, NC where he had many true friends that he loved and thought the world of.

Survivors include his wonderful, loving, wife of 18 years, Velma Hoilman, the love of his life and soul mate, of the home. His son Daniel Hoilman and fiancee, Regina Salts, of Bakersville, NC. His daughter Melissa Hoilman and fiancé Scottie Buchanan, of Bakersville, NC. His son Samuel Hoilman and wife Anna, of Bakersville, NC. His stepson Adam Miller and fiancé Christy Miller, of Erwin, TN. His stepdaughter Aleschia Miller, of Bakersville, NC. His sister Francis Heaton and husband Richard, of Spruce Pine, NC.

Boyd was also blessed with 8 grandchildren: Isaiah Carmney and Makayla Carmney, of Marion, NC, Talan Swann, of Spruce Pine, NC, Ty Fisher, of Hendersonville, NC, Bruce Hoilman and Angel Hoilman, of Spruce Pine, NC, and Mason Hoilman, of Bakersville, NC, also a step grandchild, Jasmine Garland, whom dad called (Gizmo), of Bakersville, NC. Several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father Bruce Hoilman, and his mother Pansy Hoilman, and his late wife Reasia Ann Hoilman, and stepdaughter Jennifer Dawn Garland.

Funeral; services will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 7:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Doug Willis, Jimmy Arrowood, and Adam Miller officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at Green - Young Cemetery.
