Boyd Harrell, age 70, of the Beans Creek Community, Bakersville, NC passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He was the son of the late Fred and Edith Forbes Harrell. He retired from Coates America and he enjoyed farming and raising cattle but most of all Boyd loved his family especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Doris Hopson, Shirley Peterson and Luzine Mercer.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Barton Harrell, sons: Mike Harrell of Kingsport, TN and Jordan Boyd Harrell of Marion, NC; sisters: Arthea Reed and Leona Wiseman both of Johnson City, TN, Ann Griffith of Burnsville, NC and Eloise Wood of Florida; brothers: Roger Harrell and Freddie Harrell both of Bakersville, and Jim Harrell of Jonesborough, TN; grandchildren: Chloe Harrell and Kelly Tittle and great grandchild, Sterling Tittle.

A private funeral service will be held for the family and burial will be in the Green Young Cemetery.
