Bobbie Jean Greene age 83 of North Mitchell Avenue, Bakersville, NC passed away February 10, 2015 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine, NC. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late James Eugene and Minnie Mae McKinney Butt. She was retired as a library assistant at Bowman Middle School in Bakersville , NC . She was a member of Bakersville United Methodist Church .

Survivors include; one daughter, Libby Sparks (David), two sons; Mike Greene (Gail), and Rob Greene (Kandra) , one sister, Sue Cook, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Pat Green Jr.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 in Bakersville United Methodist Church at 1:00PM with Rev. Larry Sprinkle officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
