Beulah Ledford Sparks, 93 of the Cub Creek Community, Bakersville NC passed away peacefully December 30, 2023. She was born in Mitchell County, NC and was the daughter of the late Green and Julie McKinney Ledford.

Beulah graduated from Bowman High School in 1949. She was a very hard worker and retired from both Wrangler Bluebell and Baxter Healthcare.

Beulah was a faithful member of the Cub Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was a friend and a blessing to all she met. She was loved and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Sparks, siblings, Lela Ayers, Ethel Ryder, Bernice Nelson, Blanche Jackson, Dallas Ledford and Doyle Ledford.

She is survived by her children, Greg Sparks, Susan Miller (L.D.), Rita Bolick (Roger), seven grandchildren, Renee Ledford (Dewayne), Tracie McCann (Brownie), Justin Miller, Sandy Hughes (Keith), Rusty Sparks (Kim), Mindy Martini (Chris), and Haley Richardson (Kevin), nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Pastors GB Garland, Mike Peterson, and Doug Willis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until 2:00PM. Interment will follow the service at Bailey Cemetery (John Sparks Rd).
