Betty J. Ramey, age 79, of Rowe Lane, Johnson City, TN passed away January 23, 2019. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Ed and June Burleson. She attended Cane Creek Baptist Church and was retired as a Registered Nurse. Betty was a loving mother that enjoyed reading and flowers.

Survivors include: three sons; Robert Larry Buchanan, of Bakersville, NC, Edward Gary Buchanan, of Marion, NC, and Todd Anthony Buchanan, one sister; Ann Bennett, of Johnson City, TN, three brothers; Gene Burleson, of Atlanta, Georgia, Emmett Burleson, of Bristol, TN, and Ricky Burleson, of Jonesborough, TN, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
