Betty Pearl Howell, age 70, of the Bandana Community, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Betty Lawrence and she was a homemaker and a member of the Silver Chapel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jack E. Howell; daughter, Sarah Faries of China Grove, NC; son, Chris Vickrey of Bakersville; three grandchildren: Jesse Faries, Nicholas Vickrey and Haleigh Vickrey; brother, Otis Hopson of Snow Camp, NC. Betty was preceded in death by a son, Michael Vickrey.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the Silver Chapel Cemetery with Jonathan Thacker officiating.
