Betty A. Bryant, age 86 of George McKinney Rd , Bakersville , NC went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 7, 2016 . She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Charlie K. and Pearl Buchanan Ayers.

She was retired from Mitchell County Schools with 32 years in Food Service. She was a member and attended McKinney Cove Baptist Church where she was also a member of Women's Missionary Union, She was also a member of Bakersville Eastern Star chapter 29.

Survivors include: two sons; Michael R. Bryant (Shelly), of Kingsport, TN, and Vann Bryant (Sue), of Paducah, KY, two sisters; Mary Helen Goins, of Childersburg, Alabama, and Marlene Pittman, of Bakersville, NC, five grandchildren; Byron Bryant, Heather Elmer, Matthew Bryant, Megan Ellmers, and Michael Bryant. five great grandchildren; Natilee Bryant, Harper Bryant, Katilyn Elmer, and Kendal Elmer, and Lori Bryant.

She was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Ayers.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00PM in McKinney Cove Baptist Church with Todd Ayers, Don Ford, and Russell McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at McKinney Cove Cemetery .
