Beatrice Webb Hughes, age 94, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. A native of the Red Hill Community, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses and Louise Byrd Webb and the wife of the late Joe Peterson Hughes. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Spruce Pine. Beatrice was a member of the Spruce Pine Chapter of the P.E.O. and the Johnson City Retired Officers Association.

Survivors include her daughter, Teleia Hughes Tollison and husband Thomas Michael of Spruce Pine; brother, Jay Lee Webb of Johnson City , TN ; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1:00PM in Trinity Episcopal Church in Spruce Pine, NC, with Reverend Richard Biega officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to go to the Trinity Episcopal Church Altar Guild, c/o Steve Batney, 15 Hemlock Ave. , English Woods, Spruce Pine , NC 28777 .
