Alvin Edward Grindstaff, age 63 of McKinney Cove Rd., Bakersville, NC passed away January 12, 2020. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a previous foreman at Buck Stove Corporation. He was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, gardening, and especially loved riding his dune buggy.

Survivors include: his wife; Patricia Jean Grindstaff, mother; Ora Grindstaff, three children; Alvin Edward Grindstaff Jr., Charity Stewart (David), and Sierra Bennett (Matthew), one sister; Lois Blevins (Billy), three brothers; Allen Grindstaff (Lydia), Johnny Grindstaff (Jeannine), and Ronnie Grindstaff (Darlene), five grandchildren; Alex and Isaiah Grindstaff, Blake and Logan Stewart, and Carson Bennett, one great grandchild; Koby Horne, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his father; Clarence Grindstaff, and one son; Bradley Alvin Grindstaff.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Dean Honeycutt and GB Garland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Snow Hill Cemetery.
