Zoe Ashlyn Ellis

Zoe Ashlyn Ellis blessed us with her sweet smile and simple elegance for 19 years.  As of January 11, 2019, she went to her forever home in Heaven to dance with Jesus and her Papa Charlie.  We hope all those who loved her know the Savior who made a way for us to join her there one day. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the beautiful daughter of Scott and Wendy Ellis and sister to Jada and Erin.  

She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and an Honor Roll Student at Mayland Community College. A master of organization, she loved to keep everything tidy and clean and to take care of countless babies she loved over the years.  Zoe reminded us all to “hold your baby” from an early age and the unexpected loss of her joyful life reminds us all to truly cherish every moment with those you love.

So many are left here on Earth to treasure sweet memories of Zoe.  A few of those include: Finley McMahan and Sawyer Greene, Adam Greene and Phillip Caudill, Rosalyn Ellis, Lesia and Phillip Hise, Grey Stamey, Adrian and Luke Stamey, Noah Vines, Allison and Chuck Vines, Faye Boone, Kenny and Marcella Miller, Eddie Miller, and Trevor Self.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 5:30PM in Mitchell High School, with Dale Buchanan, Bruce Cannon, and Chris Rathbone officiating. Viewing will begin at 4:00PM.

A private graveside service will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery.
