Vicki L (Wilcox) Byrd

Vicki Lee Wilcox Byrd, age 49, of Sweet Creek Rd Bakersville, NC, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 22, 2018 at her home. She was born in Baltimore Maryland but later moved with her family to Bakersville.

Vicki was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her soul. She was an avid reader and loved meeting new people. She worked for many years as a CNA in both Mitchell and McDowell Counties.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father: Clyde Wilcox of Bakersville, sister: Stacey "Vena" Curry of Bakersville and beloved infant.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother: Hettie Hoilman Wilcox of the home; daughter: Amber Cheuvront of the home; sister: Vivian Allen and husband David of Marion; brother: Chris Wilcox and wife Natasha of Spruce Pine; nieces: Amanda Davis of Bakersville, and Kayla Allen of Marion; nephew Ethan Allen of Marion.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 7:30PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Dustin Sturgill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until the service time. Interment will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00PM at Hoilman Cemetery (Hoilman Cemetery Rd).

Memorials may be made to the family c/o Hettie Wilcox to assist with funeral expense.
