Ronald "BO" Jeffrey Buckner

Ronald Jeffrey Buckner "Bo" went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19. He was 55 years old.

Bo was a son of the late George Kenneth Buckner and Mary Helen Rhymer Buckner.

Bo is survived by his loving and loyal wife, Tammy Webb Buckner of the home, and daughter, Samantha Buckner Terhune of Chapel Hill, her husband, Graham and their two children Perry and Ramsey. "Papa Buck" will be remembered by his grandchildren for his kind heart, big hugs and silly jokes.

Bo is also survived by his brother Kenneth Buckner, wife Sandra and sister Diane Condrey (along with all of Tammy's relatives).

Bo was a lifelong resident of Western North Carolina and dedicated the past 17 years to the Town of Bakersville. His love for the community led him to pursue a role with the town council which he held at the time of his death. Bo also had specialized training with Rocky Mountain Fire and Rescue, and was a former DMV Law Enforcement Officer for 7 years. He was currently employed with Henline - Hughes Funeral Home.

Bo's family and friends will remember him for his love for the Lord and his family including his dogs Sissy and Roxie. While those he left behind will miss him we are at peace knowing he is reunited with his beloved parents.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Andrew McKinney, Cass Buchanan, Don Ford and Samantha Terhune (daughter) speaking. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
