Donnie Lamar Burroughs, age 76 of Hwy 226N, Bakersville, NC (Red Hill Community), passed away September 12, 2019. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Ernest and Trula Slagle Burroughs. He was previously employed with Feldspar Corporation.

Survivors include: his daughter; Pamela Gay Frost (Donald Thomas Frost), of Titusville, Florida, one brother; Darrell Slagle (Louise), of Bakersville, NC, one granddaughter: Traci Ann Cice, the love of his life: Anna Rae Burleson, of Bakersville, NC, special friends: Kathy Honeycutt (Ray), of Bakersville, NC, two nephews: Joel and Rodney Slagle, and one niece: Rhonda Slagle.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Randy Wise and Larry Greene officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Garland Cemetery Hwy 226 (At Red Hill Baptist Church).
