Anna Mae Ledford

Anna Mae Ledford, 86 of the Fork Mountain Community, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in the Franklin Woods Hospital in Johnson City, TN. She was the daughter of the late Joshua and Ida Mae Childers. Anna Mae was a member of the Fork Mtn Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and loved gospel music. She was well known for her baking skills including her biscuits, pies and cakes that she made for her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sister, Lennis Stout and brothers, Ralph, L.P. and Earl Childers.

Survivors include the love of her life, husband Bill Ledford of the home; daughters: Rhonda Ledford Miller of Johnson City, TN and Jewel Cook of Erwin, TN; sons: David Ledford, Timothy Ledford, Matthew Ledford and Jeffery Ledford all of Bakersville; sisters: Jackie Piper of Ocala, FL and Ruby Brannon of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Michael Ledford, Britany Hillard, Brooklynn Ledford, Tiffany Ledford, Dalton Higgins, Devin Higgins, Anastasia Miller, Destiny Love and Levi Ledford.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with G. B. Garland, Doug Honeycutt and David Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Fork Mtn. Cemetery.
