Alfred William Blanton

Alfred William Blanton, 77 of Bakersville, NC passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 in the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Marcus and Annabelle Wilson Blanton and retired from Coates North America, Marion, NC. Alfred was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and he loved camping, going to the beach, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Beth Brewer and husband Jeff of Bakersville, grandchildren Trevor Brewer, Bryan Brewer (Autumn), Brooke Brewer, step daughters; Diane Holland (Jack) of Burnsville and Kathy Woods of Telford, TN; three step grandchildren: Todd Ayers, Cody Wilson and Haley Tittle; 5 step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren; also special cousins and friends: Stan Young and Thomas Wilson and his beloved dog "Buttons".

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Marcus and Annabelle Blanton, spouses Brenda Blanton and Maxie Blanton and one sister Marcia McNeill.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Revs. Jeff Brewer and Todd Ayers officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the Bakersville Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bakersville Fire Department, c/o Ashley Beam, 26 South Mitchell Ave, Bakersville, NC.

Pallbearers will be Trevor Brewer, Bryan Brewer, Wes Brewer, Andy Brewer, Chad Slagle and Stan Young.
