YELTON
Gary Dean Yelton, age 50, of Cub Creek Rd. Bakersville, NC, died
May 3, 2004, at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He
was a former employee of Unimin Mining Corporation in shipping, and was a
native of Mitchell County, NC. Mr. Yelton was a member of Emanuel
Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: Father - Claude Yelton, Sisters -
Wanda Hoilman, and Jean Yelton.
Survivors include: Mother - Mary Yelton, of Bakersville, NC, Wife
- Shirley Ballard Yelton, of Bakersville, NC, Daughters - Deanna
Buchanan, and Shannon Byrd, both of Bakersville, NC, Son - Derek
Yelton, of Bakersville, NC, Sisters - Linda McFalls, Vickie
Waycaster, and Ann Stout, all of Spruce Pine, NC, and Janice Silver,
of Erwin, TN, Brothers - Howard Yelton and Larry Yelton, Both of
Bakersville, NC, and Jim Yelton, of Morganton, NC, Granddaughter -
Mariah Buchanan.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 5 - 8PM, in
the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home, with Skip Weiford,
Gerald Grindstaff, and Steve Williams officiating. The family will
receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will be
Thursday, May 6 - 11AM, at Phillips Cemetery (Fork Mountain).
