YELTON
Elsie L. Yelton, age 83 of Cooktown Rd, Bakersville, NC passed
away Sunday, at her home. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC
and the daughter of the late Flemmons and Nerva Sparks Cook. Elsie
was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Fork Mountain. Elsie was an
avid Painter and painted scenes in churches throughout Mitchell
County, and was also a writer. Survivors include; daughter,
Margaret R. Burleson and husband Wran, of the home, one
granddaughter, Amy K. Burleson, two great grandchildren, Crystal
Rose McPeeters, and Donnie Wayne McPeeters Jr., and one sister, Tola
Boles, of Bakersville, NC.
She was preceded in death by; husband, London Yelton, brothers
and sisters, Fred, Roy, Cecil, Samuel and Hettie, half brothers and
sisters, Tom, Tulsa, Riley, Monroe, and Hattie. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday, November 27 at 7:30 PM in the chapel of
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Dallas Cook and Glen Autrey
officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 Until 7:30.
Interment will be Wednesday, November 28th at 10:00AM at Cook
Cemetery. Henline - Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the Yelton
