Ray Kenneth Wilson
A native of Mitchell County, he was the
son of the late Wiss and Inez Ledford Wilson and husband of Delora
McKinney Wilson, who survives.
Ray was a graduate of Bowman High
School and a member of their football team. He retired from French
Broad Electric Company after 36 years of service as a lineman. He
was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and the oldest living
charter member. Survivors,
along with his wife, include daughter, Judy McKinney and husband
Kent of Johnson City, TN; sons, Gerald Wilson and wife Karen of
Boone, NC and Jim Kenneth Wilson and wife Pat of Spruce Pine; four
grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Melba Bennett
of Morganton, NC. The
family will receive friends Thursday April 17th from 1pm until the
funeral service begins at 2:30pm at Bakersville Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the Green Young Cemetery.
