WHETSTINE
Faye Eula Whetstine, age 85 of Marion NC passed away October 3,
2009 at Hospice House of Rutherford County, in Forest City NC. She
was a native of Mitchell County NC and the daughter of the late
Herbert and Ella Jones McClellan. She was retired from Spruce Pine
Mica Company. She was a Charter Member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include; daughters, Barbara Snyder and Phyllis Ollis,
both of Marion, NC, sons, Phillip Whetstine, of Green Mountain, NC,
Bobby Whetstine, of Marion, NC, and Reverend Daniel Whetstine, of
Burnsville, NC, two sisters, BerthaWashburn and Beulah Beam, both of
Spruce Pine, NC, three brothers, R. J. McClellan, Bobby McClellan,
and Dayton McClellan, all of Spruce Pine, NC, four grandchildren,
Jeffery Whetstine, Nathan Snyder, Robin Mace, and Michael Ollis, two
great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by; husband, Paul Edward Whetstine, one sister,
Grace Ollis, and three brothers, Clay McClellan, George McClellan,
and Vance McClellan.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from
6:00PM until 8:00PM in Bethel Baptist Church, Spruce Pine, NC.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 2:00PM
in Bethel Baptist Church with Luther Carver and Darren Waldroup
officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
