Polly Butler Thomas, age 83 of the Buladean community passed away
Friday, October 19th at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was a native
of Mitchell County, NC and the daughter of the late Fate and
Mary Moffitt Butler. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church
and also attended Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by; husbands, Virgil Freeman, Arnold
Yelton, Nat Carver, and George Thomas, daughter, Sally Sparks, son,
Tom Carver, sister, Sally Roberts, and brother, Cameron Butler.
Survivors include; sons, Samuel Carver, Ronnie Freeman, daughter,
Pauline Parker, sisters, Hettie Tipton, and Della Smalling, daughter
in law, Susie Carver, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a
special friend, Madison Sehion.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24th at 2:00PM
in Spring Creek Baptist Church with Bob McCourry and Randy English
officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the
service. Interment will follow at Red Hill Methodist Cemetery.
