GREENE STATLER
Cherry Elaine Greene Statler, age 62, of North Mitchell Avenue,
Bakersville, NC passed away Sunday April 27, 2008 at her home. She
was a Native of Mitchell County, NC and the daughter of the late
Thomas and Lois Hoilman Greene. She was retired from Baxter
Healthcare of North Cove, and was a member of Bakersville Baptist
Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, and was also a
member of the WMU. She was also a
member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8060 in Spruce Pine, NC.
Survivors include; husband, Charles Statler, of the home,
daughters, Debbie Greene and husband Terry, of Bakersville, and
Michelle Statler, also of Bakersville, NC, sisters, Vivian McKinney,
of Raleigh, NC, Betty Sue Sigmon, Margaret Polka, and Beverly Vines,
all of Bakersville, NC, four grandchildren, Crystal Putman, Terry
Wayne Greene, Jon Dale Wise, and Dalton Wise, one great grandchild,
Hayley Putman. She was preceded in death by; one brother, Don
Greene. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at
2:00PM in Bakersville Baptist Church with Billy Stewart officiating.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
