| DATELINE: BAKERSVILLE, NC GUY SPARKS
Guy Sparks age 77, of Bear Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC passed away
April 9, 2007. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC, and the son
of the late Dewey and Lessie Willis Sparks Sr. He graduated Winston
Salem Barber College in 1958, and was self employed as a Barber. He
was a lifelong Member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include; wife, Mattie Lee Sparks, of the home, sons;
Rick Sparks, and wife Sue Ann, and Dale Sparks, and wife Mary, all
of Bakersville, NC, granddaughters; Jenney Howell, and husband
Chris, and Shelley Buchanan and husband Seth, grandson, Josh Sparks,
and wife Jessica, and granddaughter, Lindsey Sparks, great
grandchildren, Dalton, Ashlyn, Coleen and Tate.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 12 at 3:00PM in
Bear Creek Baptist Church, with Max Holland and Chris Rathbone
officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the
service. Interment will be at Bear Creek Church Cemetery.
