ROBERTS
Tony Vann Roberts, age 48 of Roberts Circle, Spruce Pine, NC
passed away May 15, 2010. He was the son of the late Earl John and
Virgie Ann Gurley Roberts, and was a native of Mitchell County, NC.
He was employed by Coats American Sevier Plant. He was a member of
Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
Tony enjoyed trout fishing, drag car racing, and watching his
daughter play softball. He was an avid Duke basketball fan.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Cynthia Ann Campbell
Roberts, of the home, his daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Roberts,
also of the home, one sister, Jo Ann Roberts Simmons, and husband
John R. , of Spruce Pine, NC, one brother, Gene E. Roberts, also of
Spruce Pine, NC, four nephews, Byron J. Hughes, of Spruce Pine, NC,
Aaron J. Hughes, of Burnsville, NC, Cameron E. Roberts, of
Bladenboro, NC, and Casey S. Roberts, of Morganton, NC, and several
great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister
Evelyn Ellen Roberts.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 16 2010 from 6:00PM
until 8:00PM in Henline - Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral
Services will be Monday, May 17 2010 at 2:00PM in the chapel of
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Dallas Renfro and Buster Yelton
officiating. Interment will follow at Fork Mountain Missionary
Baptist Church Cemetery. (Fork Mountain Rd) . Memorials may be
made to Gideons International Mitchell County Camp PO Box 611 Spruce
Pine, NC 28777 or any charity of ones choice.
