LEDFORD PUTMAN
Bernice Ledford Putman, age 92 of Bowman Rd Bakersville, NC
passed away February 2, 2008 at her home. She was a native of
Mitchell County, NC and the daughter of the late. Wash and
Venia Greene Ledford. She was a member of Big Rock Creek Baptist
Church.
Survivors include; sons; Bobby Ray Putman, of Jonesborough, TN,
Wade Putman, and J. H. Putman, both of Bakersville, NC, sisters,
Myrtle Hetrick, Vernie Payne, and Lois Shuhart, all of Pa, brothers,
D. H. Ledford, and Junior Ledford, both of Pa, three grandchildren,
Lisa Jarrett, Ricky Putman, Phillip Putman, six great grandchildren,
and special friends, Nellie Putman, Betty Ollis, Ann Tipton, Loeitta
Whitson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Halder Putman,
and four sisters. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February
5th 2008 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home
with G. B. Garland officiating. The family will receive friends two
hours prior to the service. Interment will be Wednesday,
February 6th at 11:00AM at Mosley Cemetery (Bowman Rd).
