PARKER
Louis Palmer Parker, age 81 of Parker Drive Bakersville, NC,
passed away November 12th, 2007 at his home. He was a native of
Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Alfonzo and Elizabeth
Lee Peterson Parker. He was a Truck Driver with The Department of
Transportation and was a Veteran of The United States Army. He
was a member of Roan Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include;
wife, Betty Sue Bailey Parker, of the home, children, Alice
Buchanan, and husband Kenny, of Spruce Pine, NC, Jessie McKinney and
husband Dennis of Bakersville, NC, Mary Ledford and husband Keith of
Bakersville, NC, Candy Cooper and husband Greg of Bakersville, NC,
Charles Parker, and wife Anna of Bakersville, NC, Eddie Parker and
wife Dottie of Bakersville, NC and Shane Parker and wife Jennifer,
also of Bakersville, NC, grandchildren, Travis, Blake, Bailey,
Wendy, Ethan, Millie, Cody, Jody, Micki, Brandon, Tony, Tara, and
Kelcy.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 13th at 8:00PM in
the Chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Lee Ayers, Mark
McKinney, and J.C. Sheets officiating. The family will receive
friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Wednesday,
November 14th at 11:00AM at Roan Mountain #2 Cemetery.
