HOLLIFIELD PANNELL
June Hollifield Pannell passed away March 2, 2010 at her
residence in Bakersville, NC. She was a native of Mitchell
County, NC and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hollifield.
She was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and was a devoted
wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include: daughters,
Vicki Snipes and husband Steve of Spruce Pine, NC, Patti Morgan and
husband Jerry of Bakersville, NC, son, John Pannell and wife Tammy
of Bakersville, NC, sisters, Lois Young of Raleigh, NC and
Ruth Young of Durham, NC, ten grandchildren and twelve great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, James Hale Pannell,
daughter, Debbie Grindstaff, sisters, Naomi Sparks and Elizabeth
Arges, brothers, James McFarland Hollifield, Freddie Hollifield, and
infant brother, Jack Hollifield. Funeral services will be held
Friday, March 5, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Bakersville Baptist Church.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Billy
Stewart will be officiating the service. Interment will follow
in the Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association, Western North Carolina Chapter, 3 Louisiana
Avenue, Asheville, NC, 28806. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home is
assisting the Pannell family. |
