Staton McKinney age 86 of 69 Laurel Lane, Bakersville, N.C.
Died Jan. 10 2008 at 2020 Penland Road, Penland,
N.C.
She was a Charter member of the Calvary Baptist
Church in the Cane Creek Community.
She was the daughter of Susie and Billy Staton.
She was preceded in death by, husband Claude
McKinney, Son’s Johnnie Staton and Bill McKinney.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank and Marsh
Staton , Daughter’s Betty J. Rowe of Bakersville and Lisa Bailey of
Penland, Son’s Claude Wayne McKinney and Ricky McKinney of
Bakersville , Fifteen Grandchildren , and eleven Great Grandchildren
.
Funeral Services will be Saturday January 12,
2008 at Calvary Baptist Church at 1: PM. Officiating will be, Jay
Orr, Ronnie Gouge, and Daniel Whettstine. The body will lie in state
one hour before the service.
The Family will receive friends Friday January
11, 2008 at the Chapel of Henline – Hughes from 6 – 8 PM
Interment will be Saturday January 12, 2008 at
Cane Creek #1 Cemetery.
