JOHNSON
Elena Peterson Johnson, age 77 of Edney Lane Erwin , TN passed
away Sunday, April 20, 2008. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC
and the daughter of the late Fred and Laura Hardin Peterson. She was
a member of Toe River Freewill Baptist Church. She loved using her
computer, spending time with her family and friends, and she lived
and loved life. Survivors include; daughters, Linda Gray and
husband Jack, of Green Mountain, NC, and Debra Grindstaff, and
husband Larry, of Poplar, NC, one son, Eddie Johnson, and Wife
Renee', of Huntdale, NC, two sisters, Edith Webb, of Green Mountain,
NC, and June Peterson, of Peach Bottom, Pa, one brother, Glenn
Peterson, of Erwin, TN, grandchildren, Robert Gray, Shannon
Grindstaff, Crystal Grindstaff, Cindy Johnson, and two special step
grandchildren, Joe and David Baxter.
She was preceded in death by; husband Edd Johnson, and sisters,
Rosaline Peterson, and Edna Edwards.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22 at 8:00PM in the
chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Brother Bernie Jones,
Brother Randy Lester, and Brother Russell Hughes officiating. The
family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Interment will be Wednesday, April 23 at 12:00 at Fred Peterson
Cemetery in the Huntdale Community.
