Fred Lambert Hollifield

Bakersville - Fred Lambert Hollifield, 70, a native of Mitchell County, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, in Hospice of Meadowland, Hillsboro, after an extended illness. He was a son of the late Fred and Fannie Renfro Hollifield. He was a retired barber.

Survivors include his son, Fred Lambert Hollifield Jr., of Florida; three sisters, Lois Young, of Raleigh, Ruth Young, of Durham, and June Pannell, of Bakersville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mike Arges.

Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery.
