Minnie Webb Hoilman, age 99 of Minnie Lane, Bakersville, NC
passed away January 3, 2008 at Brian Center Healthcare in Spruce
Pine, NC. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Mollie
Bowman Webb, and a native of Mitchell County, NC. She was the oldest
member of Cub Creek Baptist Church and attended Friendship Baptist
Church.
Survivors include; daughters, Lena Garland, Maxine Greene, and
Martha Johnson, all of Bakersville, NC, and Georgia Elkins, of
Monkton Md, sisters, Toby Forbes, of Kingsport, TN and Claudia
Gouge, of Bakersville, NC, thirteen grandchildren, twenty one great
grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; husband , Claude Hoilman, brothers,
Dr. Melvin Webb and Martin Webb, five sisters, Thelma Greene, Grace
Gortney, Georgia Parsons, Lillian Conley, and Mable Byrd, children,
Kenneth Guy Hoilman, Beulah Kate, Grover E Hoilman, Claude Hoilman
Jr., and a beloved grandson, David Max Greene.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 6th at 3:00PM in
the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Bob
McKinney, Billy Stewart, and Kenneth Murphy officiating. The family
will receive friends from 1:30 until the service hour. Interment
will follow at Phillips Cemetery (Hwy 226).
