GREENE
Minnie Jane Greene, age 83, of Brown Road, Spruce Pine, NC,
passed away June 21, 2010. A lifelong native of Mitchell
County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Lizzie Franklin
Lowery. She enjoyed reading and word find books. She was
a homemaker and a member of Altapass Baptist Church. Survivors
include: son, David W. Greene and wife Mary Ellen of Spruce
Pine, NC, daughter, Rhonda Scott and husband Dennis of Murfreesboro,
TN, sister, Mary Murg of Spruce Pine, NC, brother, Johnny Lowery of
Spruce Pine, NC, five granddaughters and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Jack D. Greene, three
sisters, and one brother. Funeral services will be held Thursday,
June 24, 2010 at 8:00PM in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Steve Sisk will be officiating the service. Interment will be
Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00AM in the McKinney Gap Cemetery on Altapass Highway. Henline-Hughes is assisting the Greene family. |
