| DATELINE: BAKERSVILLE, NC BILL W. GOUGE
Bill W. Gouge, age 87 of Hwy 226 Bakersville NC passed away
October 15, 2007. He was the son of the late Lillington and Bessie
Canipe Gouge and a native of Mitchell County, NC. He was a Veteran
of the United States Army and served in World War II, in the
Pacific. He was a Member, Deacon, and Long Time Sunday School
Teacher at Cub Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include; son, Royce Gouge and wife Debbie, of Clemmons,
daughter, Karen Greene and husband Paul, of Bakersville, one sister,
Daisey Harrell, of Virginia, brothers, Thomas Gouge, of Gray, TN,
and Harry Gouge, of Johnson City, TN, three grandchildren, Mitzi
Reed, and husband Bryan, Kevin Gouge, and wife Susan, and Nathan
Greene, and wife Cindy, six Great Grandchildren, Haley McPeak,
Garrett Greene, Pierce Greene, Anayla Weber, Aidan Reed, Lauren
Gouge. He was preceded in death by; wife, Beatrice Young Gouge,
and daughter, Kathleen Garland. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, October 18th at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes
Funeral Home with Billy Stewart officiating, The Family will receive
friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at
Malone Gouge Cemetery.
