OSCAR GARLAND Oscar Garland, age 87 of Hyder Rd, Milligan
College, TN passed away June 19, 2007 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
He was the son of the late Wesley and Rosa Green Garland, and a
native of Mitchell County, NC. He was a Veteran of the United States
Army, and a retired Millwright - Carpenter. He was a lifetime member
of The Veterans Of Foreign War.
Survivors include; sons, Larry Garland and wife Ann, of Dublin,
Va, and Bob Garland and wife Shelly, of Houston, TX, one brother,
Ray Garland, and wife Blanche Garland, one sister in law, Ruby
Garland, grandchildren, Ryan Garland and wife Taylor, Terri Garland,
Beth Garland, and Adam Garland. He was preceded in death by; wife;
Lydia Forbes Garland,
sisters, Bonnie Burleson, and Nettie Hughes, brothers Merritt and
Stokes Garland, and one son, Duane Wesley Garland. Funeral
services will be held Friday, June 22 at 12:00 in the chapel of
Morris Baker Funeral Home with Donald L. Page officiating. The
family will receive friends from 10:30 until the service hour.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
