Juanita Garland, age 83 of East Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN
passed away March 22, 2010 at Northside Hospital in Johnson City.
She was the daughter of the late Archie and Amanda Smith Johnson.
She was a member of North Johnson City Baptist Church, and Ladies
Auxiliary Of V.F.W. Juanita was and avid Gardner who enjoyed sewing
and home decorating. During her retirement, she and her husband,
Ray, traveled extensively. Juanita was retired from JC Penny
Department store in Johnson City, TN.
Survivors include; her husband, Grover Ray Garland, of the home,
her children, Ron Garland, of Superior, CO, Terry Garland, and wife
Joanne, of Richmond, VA, her sister, Imogene Johnson Jackson, of
Cumberland, KY, her granddaughter, Leigh Garland, of
Washington, DC, and her step granddaughter, Elizabeth Gerber, of
Richmond, VA . Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26,
2010 at 2:00PM in Morris Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City, TN,
with David Guinn, and Rick Powell officiating. The family will
receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow
at Roselawn Memorial Park in Johnson City.
